Far East

Hello faithful few, it that time again. I just wanted to, this week take the time out to say that my thoughts and prayers go out to the people in the Far East. Right now in Burma and China, they are going through something very trying. The lost of so many lives in these natural disasters can never been replace. I am going to leave on that note, but be fore I go I am going to impart a little wisdom.

Instead of dwelling on the who, the why, the when, the where, the what, and the how; focus on existing and being happy with the now!

Until next week sometime, namaste and stay strong...

Week

Hello faithful few, how is everyone doing this weekend? I am just stopping by to say hello and tell you guys a little about my week. Not too big of a post this week. Well my week started out pretty boring. I have just been trying to come up with ideas for placing butterflies in my work. I also have been playing around with the idea of more self-portrait type work. You know make it more personal. I worked pretty hard this week at my job. I need to somehow find a way to incorporate more time to work on my art into my work week, you know! Today I am going to try and bang out a couple of sketches. Well I gotta jet. Sorry for the short post this week but I am feeling the creative juices flowing.

...NYC

Hello faithful few, its that time again. This week I have a doozy for you.

So last week this time I was in NYC. I just knew that I was going to get a new tattoo. I had been anticipating this all week. Imagine my dismay when I get to the shop right before they open. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting for them to open up. Imagine my dismay at getting in there and agreeing on a price with the tattoo artist and then having him ask me when is a good day? WHAT? How abut today? I explained to him that this was it for me. The highlight of my trip to NYC was to get a new tattoo. When I talked to the lady on the phone she made it seem as though thats what was going to happen when I get there. Not I talk about it with the guy and then we set-up another appointment.

I was so disappointed. I mean atleast I got to see the city. Did I already mention that I love NYC! This little failed excursion will not hinder my love for the city. I will return!

Next stop: Chicago!

I still got love for you guys...

Hello faithful few, its time again for my weekly post of ramblings and shenanigans of my artful life. Lately I have been feeling real good, you know. I feel like I am in a good place.

I plan on getting ink'ed this weekend when I take a weekend excursion to The Big Apple for some money spending good times. I just love NY! I don't know what it is, the people, the noise, the atmosphere....don't know. I just know that I LOVE NY!!!!!!!!!

I finally finished the butterfly piece that I was working on and I am looking forward to finding ways to incorporate this new manifestation in my work. I am hoping to have some more for you guys next week. I will definitely have some pics of the Big Apple, WOOHOO!!!!!

One

Hello faithful few, How are you guys doing? This week for you guys I am going to be pretty brief. I am sorry but its just a sort of thought that I had come to my mind at work today.

I alot of times feel as though I don't belong. In my quest to be a nonconformist, I feel as though I am alienated wherever I go or in whatever I do. On a grand scale, I enjoy it and have come accustomed to being different or not fitting in. I think for all intentful purposes, it furthers my mental capacity as an artist. In a small setting I think it kind of casts an awkward eye on me. It makes me seem like I am anti-social or that I want to be the black sheep (No pun intended). In any case, I am ok with things just the way the are, FOR NOW! Well that's my post for this week folks.

Hola!

Hello faithful few, how is it going? I have come to the end of yet another entertaining and restless week. I know in last weeks' post I mentioned the piece that I was working on for a show on friday (yesterday). Well after working on it some more, I was just not satisfied with it enough to present it to the world. I mean I had friends who liked it, but for me it still needs something. It is just not complete yet. I am hoping in the coming week or so to have it finished and I plan on starting other work, so I can have it ready for submission into this show I want to try and enter in Wisconsin, next month I believe.

I have also had a few people ask for prints and people who want me to design logos for them, so I plan on getting cracking on that soon. Well thats all for this week, peeps.

Until sometime next week, namaste and stay strong...

The Week has ended!

Hello faithful few. How is it going guys? Another week is done and its been kind of a crazy week. From the beginning of baseball season to the weird weather to celebrating the legacy of Dr. King, exactly 40 years after his death(April 4TH). I am currently working on a drawing for the Out of Order show at Maryland Art Place next week. I will post a picture of it for you guys sometime next week. I am excited about putting something in this show you know.

I have just been working and trying to relax, but its tough trying to maintain some semblance of organization. One of the main reasons I started this blog was to keep myself focused and on an even keel towards my goals. I mean its pretty much working so far, so that's a great thing. Now if I can only conquer my procrastination, LOL!

Well that's all for this week, folks.

Until sometime next week, namaste and stay strong...
