So this is my last post on blogspot. My blog is officially live @ArtStar.

Its been funny the last almost 9 years here on blogspot but as Skynyrd said, "...for I must be travelin' on now, there's too many places I got to see..." As I said last week, I will continue to blog every week so if you happen upon this page and want to read more of my ramblings follow me to WordPress. That's it.

I have done it...

So I have officially moved my blog to WordPress. I don't have it live yet because I still need to tweak it and work out some bugs but this is one of my last, if not my last, post here on blogspot. I am going to continue to blog every week. So I am not going anywhere any time soon. That's all for now.

The Week that was…

So last week I was using the Blogger app on my phone, when it crashed on me while it was publishing my post. It kind of sucked because I had talked about me trying to transition from vegetarian to vegan.  Blah. I didn't want to go through the whole process of typing it again so I left it in limbo. I just remembered about it as I was contemplating what I wanted to post this week. I'm going to keep it short and just say that Tuesday of this week will be my 2nd week of being vegan. It's been an easy transition…just don't know yet after the third week if I am going to continue it. That's all I have for now.

No...No...It's not even finished yet...

So I am still not finished with this video. And it's such a short video...at this point, I'm wondering if I want to continuously loop it or just leave it at the time it is. (Under 1 min.)

I am also trying to figure out what kind of music I want it to have. This video is beginning to take on a life of its own. I'm not overthink it but I want to get it just right. I want to watch it and go, "OH! That's it, that's were I want to go with it..." I will hopefully finish it in the next week or so.

Also faithful few, the next time I post I will be a year older! Woohoooooo!! Capricorns RULE!!

New Years Resolution...

Hello faithful few. I am still working on my video short. It's not quite ready for public consumption that's why I don't have it for this weeks' post. Hopefully I have it done by next week.

Anywhoogle, I figured I would post a couple of my New Years Resolutions. A few that I would actually like to share.

1. Continue to work towards getting healthier.
2. Get back to create art more on a regular basis.
3. Brush up on my Japanese. Or at least get back to where I was in my college years with the language and build upon it.
4. Can't stress this one enough... Create art more.

I thought I'd share a bit of my new artist statement with you guys. So without further ado...

My work through the years has evolved, devolved and evolved again. Everything I have done so far in my work has been a culmination of experiences, research, pain, love, growth, and maturation.

The focus of my work always gas an underlying theme of mood. That is to say, that no matter the subject or subject matter; my work will always reflect my mood. It won't just reflect my mood because of my style but my mood as a whole. Similar images/subjects may be drawn or painted in the same style but the weight of the line or stroke will be different depending on my mood.

That's all I have written so far. Hopefully I'll finish it in the next few days and I also have forgotten that I have a couple of post that I need to write that I want to share with you guys.

The Artist is here...

Last few days I have been feeling really motivated. I have some ideas that I will be committing to pencil and paper. They really kind of hit me all of a sudden. I don't know if it was because of the new mental space that I am in or because it was it's time to come out. Nonetheless, I am really excited about the direction my creative process is taking me.

I feel like I have gotten back a little piece of my artistic soul. I guess it's the upside of being in a good place.

I'm going to start back sharing images with you guys. Might even do some video as well. I am so encouraged right now... It's amazing. That's all I have for you guys this week though.

This Week...

Today I went out for a walk... A sort of walkabout if you will. I didn't have any 70s or 80s music playing as I was doing it but I did snap a few photogs. Some landscapes and some scenic or not so scenic nature scenes. I'm going to go through them over the next few days and see which ones I feel are worthy of posting.

I will definitely share them with you guys. I also have been keeping up with sketching/journaling in my sketchbook everyday. It's been just a little bit over 3 weeks. I am darn right proud of myself.

I just wanted to let you guys know what I have been up to the past week. That's all I have for you guys this weekend.

Random Randomness Ensues or the 80s Rocked!

The other day I was listening to an 80s instant mix on Google Play music. As the songs were playing it got me to thinking...one of the reasons I love 80s music so much is because it really takes me back.

I was an 80s kids and back then I really didn't have a care in the world. On a more deeper level, my whole family was complete. Everything was all right with the world. I sometime wish I could still have that feeling in my adulthood. Not saying that I don't want to have a care in the world, I'm really just saying that I miss my complete family. And since I can't have my complete family still, I'll always have 80s...

Creating on a mobile device...

This is a little something that I have been working on. I used an app called Corel Painter Mobile on my Note 3. What's cool about this app is that it works well with my stylus and the strokes react and respond to pressure. I was truly amazed. I can press down on screen and get a heavy line or just glide across the screen and get a feathered line.

As you guys know I have been struggling with creating lately and once I started this I felt alive again "wee" bit. So far I am working on the bottom 3 layers. Tomorrow I am going to start to flesh the face out a little more and see how I like it. The only drawback is that while my phone is a big for a phone, it does sometime seem awkward drawing an image on a phablet screen. Even though it's the size of a postcard, it's still a challenge using the stylus on the screen. I have seen some great art produced by other artists on this device though.

Blog changes A-coming...

Hey faithful few, I have decided to implement the first change in my blog. Hopefully you will see the change in the next few weeks or so.

I am going to also add a little cosmetic changes as I mentioned last week to my blog as well in hopes of driving more traffic to my blog. I may even later in the year transition from Blogger to Wordpress. That's where I have my other 2 blogs hosted at now. Maybe I can go with a little unity on the blog front. As usual, whatever I do you guys will be the first to know.

Neverland or A Childlike Dystopia concocted by a Mad, Mad Artist...

Hey faithful few, tomorrow is the day of my birth. One thing I have noticed as I've gotten older is that I don't actually feel older. You know what I mean??

I mean I know that I am getting older but I don't feel it.  I wonder if it as something to do with me considering myself to be a late bloomer in some aspects of my life...I mean I don't have any kids but I don't think that even if I had kids that it would make any difference.  Don't get me wrong...I am not implying that I am suffering from some Peter Panian theory, I know that I am aging and have grown up. Plus I have always been mature for my age no matter what. It's just internally, in me there is a small part of me that feels like it will always be a young man of 22.

I know what your thinking...I'm some sort of wing nut or some crazy weird wacko or maybe I am a Toys R Us kid.(sings, I don't wanna grow up...I'm a Toys R Us kid...There's a million toys at Toy R Us that I can play with...) I'm sorry I went away there for a second LOL.

In any event, I plan on being around forever and I plan on talking with you guys; the faithful few forever.

The beginning of my new journey...

So here I am in my new city...my new life...my new place...and I'm sick. Are you kidding me??

I am making the most of it though so I am still pretty excited. It just sucks that I am sick.

I have also noticed that Sprint's network is really crappy for me down here. I can barely keep/get a data connection in my apartment and I don't have Wi-Fi yet so for a person like me that's almost like not having air.  I know that's a little "extra" but imagine not being able to do something as simple as checking the weather in this day and age.

Anyhow that's all have for you guys this weekend. Next week maybe I'll have a lot more to say with it being my first full week in this town.

And just like a bird in winter, I'm flying south...

So this is my first post after the beginning of my life-changing decisions. This time next week, I will be in my new home...in my new city...in my new state. I have to say that I am pretty excited about it.

I'm going to finally get a chance in the beginning of my getting acclimated to a new environment, to spend some time focusing more on my art. I am very fortunate in the beginning to be able to devote time while I am looking for employment. Its going to be great.

The Eye 2013...

My Glorious Week or Frantic Ramblings of a Self-Proclaimed Geek...

I know I kind of...sorta promised some more images of the piece that I am working on but I gotta be honest with you guys. After working on it the previous 3 weeks, this past week I didn't even touch it.

Pretty much only thing that I want to do with it, is glaze another coat of paint on it and then finish off the frame. I am hope that I get to it sometime in the next week. I'll probably do another video of the finished piece and post it here and on YouTube. I did start back on a piece that I started a few months ago. I grow tired of staring at it in its unfinished so I have set out to finally finishing. That's another piece I hope to have done in the next couple of weeks.

I have/had a lot on my mind the last couple of weeks. Been getting a little anxious...a little stressed...been sleeping even less than before...It's just a lot of things are coming a head for me and I am both excited and dare I say afraid. It's not a bad thing its actually a good thing. I will be glad when I can share everything with you guys here. Don't worry its coming soon...Don't fret...You will be in the know. Well that's all I have for you guys this week...
