As promised folks...

So I wanted to create a slideshow and I tried a couple of ways and it wouldn't render the html right here in blogger so I just thought post the pictures for you guys. These shots are the ones that I picked out that I want to use for some future pieces. Some I will digitally manipulate and saw I think might end up as digital transfers on to canvas. Enjoy folks.

"Warp Speed, Mr Chekov" or "Like Sands through an Hourglass..."

This week was pretty much a blur to me. I got a lot done including today but I didn't focus a lot on my pieces. I haven't even gotten around to uploading my images yet. I probably devote most of tomorrow to get that done.

Next week for sure I will have some images for you.

I have just been trying to get myself fully acclimated to southern living. I got say I am having a great time getting used to it. I am still trying to make it feel like home. I've been here close to a month and at times, it feels like I am on extended vacation. The other day I was mailing a letter and I almost addressed it with my old address. Still hasn't hit me I guess.

Work and other rambling stuffs...

Hey faithful few, so yesterday I went out and shot some nature and landscape images with my camera. I need to upload them and see what I got. I think I got some good shots though. Some of the images I plan on printing out and using in some assemblage paintings.

I believe I am finally getting used to living in a new town. Its starting to "not" feel like an extended vacation. I have been ramping up the job search and I have been doing a little sketching. So I am keeping myself busy in this down time.

Next week if I remember I will share some of the stuff I have been working on.

And so...

So I didn't spend a few days in DC like I had planned. I did have a little "me time" though. Also I did go and spend yesterday in DC. I walked around a little and hit up the movie theater for a double feature. I didn't take my camera with me because it was quite rainy here yesterday. Didn't want to be out take pics with my camera in the rain. I'm not setup for that yet. Maybe in the future. I did however, snap a few interesting pics with my iPhone that I might post here next week. I am going to have a few images of this painting that I mentioned last week for you guys as well.

Has it really been that long or Shark Bait 2.0...

Hello there faithful few...Sunday I blogged on my vegetarian blog about my 2 year vegetarian anniversary, so if you are feeling like a slightly good read...head over there. Let's see what else do I have for you guys. I have been working in a new sketchbook that I am using mainly for sketches and images of the female body. I also plan on doing a few things over the next couple of weeks. I have an oil painting I am going to be starting hopefully soon for a contest at work and hopefully the second week of next month I plan on spending a few days down in DC. I plan on doing a little personal photography. I haven't spent too much time out shooting with my Canon T2i somimwant to give it a little love. Hopefully the weather is great then. Then in September I am hoping to go further south on a picture taking adventure.

I am really trying to put a lot more focus on my artistic life more than my work life. There comes a time when you have to really decided what's important to you. Art has been my dream. My goal. I mean I have invested in my artistic endeavour. I mean every month a little of that investment attacks my bank account LOL so I am feeling it. I just got to throw myself out there to the sharks. Time to stop talking about it and just DO IT! Well that's all I have for you guys this week. I'll see you guys back here next week, ok...

RANDOM SNAPSHOTS...

So faithful few as I promised you guys last week, here are a few photos I took this week. Next week I will give you guys a roundup of a couple of programs I just installed on my computer. I haven't played around with them much yet but I am pretty excited about. Also see if you guys can notice anything in the photos that might seem odd or strange. Something's are obvious and some you really have to "GAZE" at to notice. Enjoy.

New Gadget...OH BOY! Toys!!!

So I finally did it faithful few, I finally pulled the trigger. I finally went and got meself a brand spanking new digital camera. Let's just say that it's an extreme upgrade from my old digital camera and my cellphone camera.

The above picture I took with my iPad 2 camera.

Now this picture here I took with my new camera.

As you can see from the picture, the newer picture is much more vivid. The counter is not washed out like it is in the iPad cam picture. You also see the figure and counters' true color. I was truly amazed the first time I actually viewed the newer pictures. I am pretty glad I finally got this camera. I'm not going to talk too much more about it here. I'll give more deets on my tech blog here. Look for that post sometime in the next couple of days. I will leave you guys with a few more before after pics.

This "after" image is a detail but you can still see the drastic shift in resolution in this piece.
